Active Directory
Use Active Directory identity and group attributes in contextual authorization decisions.
About PlainID + Active Directory
The PlainID Authorization platform manages and controls authorization using policies that define who can access what and when. In order to build precise and diverse policies, PlainID can utilize Active Directory as the main source of identities or as a source for additional identity attributes. The identity information obtained from Active Directory can be synthesized with identity information pulled from other sources for the creation of access policies.
Technical Information
The integration with Active Directory allows using it as an information point for identity attributes and entitlements. The integration is done using a direct connection between PlainID and Active Directory's repositories. In this integration option, PlainID will connect to Active Directory repositories using LDAP to retrieve the identity and entitlement data, whenever an access request is sent.
