Our story

01
The Trigger
In the early 2010s, enterprise solutions had largely solved the "who are you?" problem. Yet while authentication was straightforward, there was no easy way to precisely control what users could do once they were inside an application. The complexity of managing runtime access across siloed technologies exposed enterprises to significant risk – and slowed down innovation.

02
The Journey
That's when two industry veterans – a Deputy CISO at Israel's largest bank and a leading security consultant – decided to build a better way. When no single vendor could help them manage authorization across the bank's solutions supporting customers, partners, and internal users, they left their corporate roles to build a prototype that could. And PlainID was born: a single, centralized authorization management platform capable of serving every line of business and technology stack.

03
The Impact
Today, PlainID is how businesses go beyond who gets in. As the AI revolution takes hold, the sheer volume of human and non-human identities is absolutely exploding. Our advanced platform and deep-rooted expertise give companies the exact control they need to navigate and solve this complexity. That's why so many large enterprises and system integrators have relied on PlainID for years to process billions of real-time authorization decisions every day.
Securing over 35 million identities and processing billions of decisions daily
for the world's most trusted enterprises.
